Delving into “Sansuikyō,” we can encounter the mountains and waters with a freshness of the heart that is beyond the human-centered mind.
That is the world of “mountains are mountains, waters are waters,” as the old buddha in the text says, unfolded through practicing zazen.
Through zazen, we can eventually realize with our own bodies what is written in “Sansuikyō.” Issho Fujita

NOTES
“I suggest the Sutra is Unfolding”- sangaku
In our first meeting, we seemed to welcome the approach of studying and chanting. Study had two parts: reading silently and reading out loud 1-7 times per week. The chanting phase we begin in October after beginning our first commentary by the authors. We seemed to have a sense of connectedness as we all read, or in the spirit of the sutra… dharma virtues were walking among us…
So, how many times a week did you read out loud and study the Sutra? Here is my tally:
First week: I read the Sutra 2
Second week: 2 and recorded it in my own voice
Third week: 2 and listened to recording 4
Fourth week: 2 and listened to recording 2
Tonight we begin reading at: Mountains and Waters are Dwelling Places for Sages (35)...
