Taishin Michael Augustin is a Soto Zen Buddhist Priest in the Phoenix Cloud lineage of Kobun Chino Otogawa, Roshi.
He spent two years in residency at O-An Zendo, a small Soto Zen temple in central Pennsylvania. Before walking the Buddhist path in this way, he taught philosophy at Pennsylvania State University and Purdue University.
Currently, his partner and he and their two orange boy cats live in Milwaukee, WI.
I met Taishin-san in a small group meeting of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association. We have exchanged Emails over the last few months and he graciously accepted my invitation to speak with our Sangha.
